Aotearoa’s most unique street art festival is back for 2025 — bringing a new roster of artists, art works and activations to the streets of Ōtautahi Christchurch! From December 5th-14th, the Little Street Art Festival will spotlight the diversity of urban creativity: inviting audiences to explore the urban landscape, to look closer, and to find surprising encounters around every corner!

From calligraphic illusions to surprising creatures, funky fashion, paths of navigation and play, cheeky signs, and even automated art machines, this year’s line-up is diverse, fun and revealing.

As always, we also have a packed programme of free activities, with returning festival artists and new names, including a ‘Fresh Faces’ spotlight and our series of guided tours and workshops. The artist panel, where we speak directly with the festival artists about their work and experiences is always a highlight, and there will be a raft of giveaways and ways to get involved!

Make it stand out

The Little Street Art Festival has always been about expanding the possibilities of urban art, creating a platform for artists who see the city in new and interesting ways and introducing them to a wider audience. We are focused on creating a discussion around how art and creative thinking can impact our experience of the world around us, the potential of embedding art in spaces throughout the city, and embracing the temporary, the small, the quiet and the surprising.

Join us in pushing this conversation and keeping Ōtautahi at the forefront of urban creativity!
